I was one of your biggest supporters last fall, and was convinced you were going to bring the change this country needed. Just like you said in your election night speech, “a government of the people, for the people, and by the people hasn’t perished from Earth”. After seven months there are a couple key issues that if addressed in their current state could end up damaging the revival of the American dream and restoring prosperity.

A historical event to take place at Fort Bayard, New Mexico on September 19,2009. The Fort Bayard Historical Society has requested a presence by the Chihene NDE Warm Springs Apache. An Elder for the Chiricahua Band Carlos Benavides reported "there has not been a presence of The Chihene NDE "The Red Paint People" in over 100 years." A meeting with the Buffalo Soldiers will take place at 3:00 pm at the Fort Bayard theater. The Buffalo Soldiers and the Chihene NDE Warm Springs Chiricahua Apache have not met in over 100 years.This will be a Historical Event and everyone is invited to attend.

Integrated Asset Services (www.iasreo.com) today released its IAS360™ House Price Index (HPI). Based upon the timeliest and most granular data available in the industry, the index for national house prices moved ahead another 1.2% in June.

With June’s gains--the fourth consecutive positive month--the U.S. housing benchmark advanced 2.7% for full second quarter 2009, virtually offsetting the 2.6% decline across the first three months of the year. The IAS360 HPI is still down 16.7% from its high in June 2007.

I just saw this ad up on Aug. 6 and 7 (2009) in the Union Station Metro station of Washington D.C. It shows a young Afro-American girl, roughly 9-10 years old, with the caption: "President Obama's daughters get healthy school lunches. Why don't I?" I figured the White House wouldn't approve either of the First Daughters being used in a lobbyist's media campaign - there's a parallel here to the "doll story" from a few months ago.

I recently ran across this article about the Freewinds religious retreat, where I previously spent a week. It was one of the most gorgeous vessels. A non-profit group in California have started a campaign to find out who's been killing the rabbits in the wooded area next to a San Jose school. Recently the school has been featured on several news site such as abclocal and Mercury News.

The group are offering a reward with a fund of $1,000 to anyone who can provide more information on the rabbit killer.
