I do have some good memories of what Christmas was when I was a Child and even as our Children where still Young, yet the last time we managed to have our whole family united for Christmas was in 1991 in Niger and New Years celebration that followed in Algeria.

It was the last peaceful Christmas our Family would have known. Since then we have been avoiding this time off the Year, We used to celebrate Eid as well for we do have some Muslim in our Family and Hanukkah since my sister in law is Jewish.

The Conflicting news about the UN envoy to Niger is no longer making any sense.The Official version released by the Niger Government was so far that,

The Republic of Congo in central Africa is leading the way being the Poorest Country today with a GDP-per Capita of $300.00, being followed by Liberia with a GDP-per capita of $500.00.

Third Poorest Country is Zimbabwe with $500.00 GDP-per Capita, this country is however on its way to become the Poorest by next Years sensus due to the Political unrest and disastrous economy.

Fourth Poorest Country is the Solomon Islands with a GDP-per Capita of $600.00.
