Interactive multimedia explains China's serious air pollution problem, daily photo blog shows air quality in Beijing!

All eyes are on the Beijing Olympics - especially the quality of the air in the Chinese capital. The non-profit Asia Society has come up with a great interactive multimedia presentation that not only clearly explains why Beijing has such problems with air pollution, but offers a daily look at the air through the window of a Beijing resident.

The anonymous (obviously!) photographer has been taking a photo out the apartment window every day for 18+ months. Each day's image is coupled with the official Chinese govt "Air Pollution Index" number. If it is 100 or less, its a "blue sky day" - but you can see for yourself that very often "blue sky day" doesn't look blue at all.

This cool presentation shows what multimedia can be used for. Totally worth checking out.
