"Anjelina Jolie did not give birth to twins"
Anjelina Jolie has not given birth to twins, according to her representatives.
The twins' arrival was announced by celebrity television program Entertainment Tonight.
Its report was attributed to an unidentified person close to the 32-year-old actress, but contained no details.
But People magazine said the information was incorrect.
"Angelina has not given birth. She is fine, enjoying her home and her family in France," a representative for Jolie told the magazine.
It was just two weeks ago that Jolie publicly acknowledged she was pregnant with twins during an interview at the Cannes Film Festival, where she was promoting the animated film Kung Fu Panda and the latest Clint Eastwood drama, The Exchange.
In Touch magazine reported this week that Jolie had been ordered to bed for the rest of her pregnancy and was due to give birth via a Caesarean section around mid-July.
Jolie and Pitt, 44, together have adopted 3-year-old daughter Zahara, 6-year-old son Maddox and 4-year-old son Pax. They also have a biological daughter, 22-month-old Shiloh.
The report came amid news Pitt and Jolie were relocating to a chateau in France's famed Provence region.
The couple were moving into the Miraval area property, in the heart of the south-eastern Var region, alocal official said.
"They are settling in and bringing their furniture," while American owner Tom Bove moves out of Chateau Miraval, said local mayor Michael Latz.
Latz said the vineyard estate would likely become the couple's principal residence.
A witness confirmed having seen a moving van this morning on the chateau premises, which are closed off by an iron gate. Guards stood watch and dissuaded inquisitive passers-by from approaching.
The regional Var Matin newspaper recently said the couple is not intending to buy the 17th century estate, which is surrounded by 400 hectares of forest and vineyard.
Instead, they will rent the property for three years from Bove, who is known to the couple.
A representative of Chateau Miraval, which produces organic wine, refused to confirm this.
Jolie, who turns 33 next month, won an Academy Award as best supporting actress for her role in the 1999 film Girl, Interrupted.
